Climate Signals | Hottest Decade
Data visualizations
Climate Signals is an online database that identifies and illustrates what climate change looks like on the ground, in different regions, states, or neighborhoods and specifies the long-term climate trends and physical processes at work. In preparation for the news moment in which 2019 marked the end of Earth’s hottest decade (during which eight of the ten hottest years ever recorded occurred), I produced several data visualizations for Climate Signals. They helped tell the story that connected the dots between how human-caused climate change caused the warming of the planet.
